FACE BEHIND THE FOUNDATION

Charlotte Edwards
Charlotte Edwards made 319 international appearances for England in her playing career and remains one of the most formidable names in cricket today. But she is no stranger to campaigning for grassroots cricket or supporting the Americas region!

Edwards is considered a legendary figure in women's cricket. Breaking countless records throughout her 20-year playing career, she led England to three Ashes Series victories and a Women's World Cup win. She was awarded a MBE in 2009, CBE in 2014, named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2014, and inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in 2022. She has had a successful career commentating and coaching the Mumbai Indians (WIPL), Sydney Sixers (WBBL), Southern Brave (The Hundred) and Hampshire (ECB County Championship), and on April 1, 2025 was appointed the role of Head Coach for the England Women's team.

Charlotte has always been a staunch advocate for advancing women and girls' cricket and believes it is important to give back to the game. Her interest and support for the Americas region dates to 2017 when she realized how underserved women players were in the region. Subsequently, she donated equipment and led a series of bi-annual camps. Players of all levels from the USA, Canada, Brazil, West Indies, Peru and Argentina attended the events which were held in various locations in the USA, Canada and Argentina.
